Students flocked the White & Blue office at SC-06 after hearing the news that only 8000 copies were printed at a first come, first serve basis. So, basically, for the approximately 21,000 Louisian population, only 38 percent of which will be able to receive the Kuwaderno 8. Protests and complaints were received from the student body about the limited copies, especially while they were waiting on the long line which extended past the Baguio Benguet Credit Cooperative Incorporated building. Comments were also heard from the freshmen who did not receive the Kuwaderno 7 last semester. There are simple answers to these questions. Only limited copies of the Kuwaderno 8 were printed this year because of the financial incapability of the organization to produce more copies for the student body. As most do not know, every student in the University pays a small publication fee of P23.75 every semester. Multiply that number with the total number of students and you’ll get the total budget of schoolpublication for only one semester – where at least three issues are required to be released, they could either be broadsheet, tabloid, European tabloid, or magazine. Thus, with the limited budget, White & Blue can only produce what they can afford – limited copies of the Literary Folio of White & Blue which is actually a special issue. Last year’s Kuwaderno 7 was distributed late due to technical reasons. Those who received copies were those enrolled for second semester of the previous school year. For that reason, the first years were not given the privilege to avail copies of the said Kuwaderno. Since the freshmen this school year are in fact enrolled this semester, they have duly paid the publication fee and have now been given the privilege to receive a copy of the Kuwaderno 8. White & Blue received negative reactions from the students as notices were posted about the exhausted Kuwaderno 8 copies. However, as long as the publication fee stays as it is, lesser copies will be printed for future Kuwaderno issues. Set as favorite Bookmark

Louisians were surprised when they went to school and found a lengthy line at the Student Center so early in the morning. March 6, 2008 was the first and last day of the distribution of the most awaited Kuwaderno 8 – the Literary Folio of White & Blue. At the end of the day, all Kuwaderno copies were given out.

im not a student of SLU, but im a big fan of kwaderno...Im not really sure if what issue was it, it had red and black art cover and what i liked most was the article that pertains something about how blind people see the world, and how beautiful and how the people who can see disregard a lot of things in the world. I really would like to collect them all and read them. I've been searching all over the net for a copy, but can't find one. I know this is quite impossible to have a copy even though I'm not a louisian, but if there's still a chance I can have one, I think it's worth the try. If anyone could give some info regarding it, please please shoot me an email anytime here:

i am louisian, a graduate, and i would like still to have a copy of the KWDERNO... It would be nicer if it will be still be available for graduates(espeially those who had been a fan of kwaderno..)even if were not studying anymore we can have it. ( i'm willing to pay for it.. and i know other graduates also.).. why not have a survey, answered by the graduates, and ask them(us) if they're willing to pay for kawderno... at least White and Blue will have funds... these funds could be used for improvement of the said publication... Thank ou so much....! |

yes i agree with christine..is it possible to avail a copy of kuwaderno?because just like her i only have two...or maybe you just post in the site the contents of kwaderno otcho and the other volume.., especially ung volume 7...naubusan aq nun...hehehe  sana how i wish |
